5th April 2009 – 345 KM Southbound on PLUS Highway, I was driving a Naza Sorento on my way back to KL from Alor Setar cursing the slow traffic all the way.
One thing I hate about driving on a jammed highway is that cars stop on straight roads. My idea of driving is that, when you see a road, you just go forward and on and on and on until you reach your destination. However it looks like some idiots do not get that concept, and prefer to block other’s path irregardless of the consequences.
Last week I survived the the same route by escaping through the emergency lane when all the other cars decided to stop in the middle of the road. This time I wasn’t so lucky cos it’s damn near midnight and both the lanes are stuck.
The Rexton in front of me went to a complete halt so I braked slowly and stopped right behind him. I thought it’ll be safe because there it wasn’t a sudden stop, and I’m pretty damn sure the cars that followed me can stop in time as well.
Then the fucking nightmare from Bangkok strike from behind, the first thing that I notice is that I banged that car in front, and went down to check its damages. Little did I know what surprises awaiting me at the back. I looked back and saw a crashed Kelisa.
Actually it’s not that bad, but it’s not possible for this car to run on its own anymore. The drivers in this car is damn lucky, why?
This Ford Ranger helped absorb most of the impact from the vehicle behind.
It’s a fucking bus yo! It’s the same bus that almost banged me 30 kilometres ago when I tried to evade a jam brake on the right lane, and now it’s back to get me! What happened was that, there was a same scenario back at Tapah, and I flicked my signal to turn to the left. After I made sure that there are no vehicles to the left and tried to turn, this bus came in like a bull from the right lane and took my left. Fucker.
Not much damage, I wasn’t driving my own car.
And the Rexton got some scratches on the rear bumper.
We had to drive back to Tapah and make a 2 hour police report.
