Things that you can do with EOS Utility.
I setup the remote capture to take a photo every 20 seconds for 1 Hour.
The video is then compiled with vdub.

Weird Moon
The alarm rings, I won’t wake up.
That was when I didn’t have DSLR, nowadays I’ll look outside my window; in case there’s a beautiful sunrise waiting for me.
I opened my eyes and went “wow”. The moon looks beautiful. I took my camera which is still fitted with the 50mm and switched to full-auto mode and took a snap, worrying that I’ll miss the moment if I fiddle around with the settings.
Wish I could try to do more, but I have to get ready for work.

Puncak Jalil Open House
Shin’s friend’s boyfriend just had an open house yesterday. (Sure sounds better than my girlfriend’s friend’s boyfriend).
It’s very near Technology Park Malaysia, so I’m actually pretty familiar with that place. What I didn’t know is that they have such a nice housing estate hidden inside.
Everything is fine except for their stupid road bumps that was stupidly designed to hurt car owners who had their car lowered.
It was a 3-storey terrace house which measures around 22x80 each, and I’m guessing that is in ft. I asked the price and they said it was 500K. I was quite disturbed with the fact that the house my parent’s bought recently is also 500K, but it was a penthouse unit in a not so desirable area (Wangsa Maju), with bad building management and residents.
And hey, the owner of the house just upgraded his camera from Canon 400D to 50D. Man, I had a feel of it and fell in love immediately with it; if only I can afford to upgrade it now, which is a stupid thing to do.
I learned a few things from him by copying his settings on his 50D, and realized how much I still have to learn.
I love photoshopping too, cos I believe the Uncles do not belong to the picture, so does the leftover plates of food on the table.
BTTZZZ*, too bad that place is not really too accessible, can’t imagine the jam I’d have to endure if I had to stay there and work in Mont Kiara. :p

The Mop March
[Sometime after a Valentine’s Day dinner]
| A: | We need to buy a mop. |
| K: | Sure, let’s walk to Tesco. |
| A: | No, don’t tell me you want to walk all the way from Tesco to The Curve carrying a mop. |
| K: | What’s wrong with that? |
| Jonny: | Yeah it’s wrong, you have to spin that mop around and march all the way. |
| K: | HA HA. |
| A: | I bet you 200 bucks you can’t do that. |
| K: | Oh really? |
| A: | You cheated. |
| K: | What? |
| A: | You always slow down when there are people around. |
| K: | What’s wrong with that? I don’t want to hit people with the mop. |
| A: | You lost the bet. |
| K: | =( |
[Yeah, yield before you’re asked to sleep on the couch on Valentine’s Day night.]
Basketball Court in HDR
I was walking around with my brother trying to explain to him how DLSR photography works. After 20 minutes walking around we came upon this old basketball court.
Sri Selangor at Dawn in HDR
It’s my 2nd week with my 450D and I have absolutely no idea what are composition or exposures.
One day I worked overnight for my (failed) Literature Review and realized it’s unexpectedly bright outside the 6 a.m. sky.
The sun rose pretty early that day, and someone was already golfing on the greens. It was a truly awesome sight.
The sky which should be dark is bright.
The golf course which should be dark is bright.
The dark road which should be dark is glowing in orange.
The day before I complained to my friend that I couldn’t capture any colourful scene in KL. I was wrong. I like this scenery very much.

Clouds in HDR
I believe this is sunset. Um… yeah of course it is.
I took this from the gap of an opened window in Hotel Highlands. I liked this shot a lot but the HDR made it quite dark, kinda dramatic.

It wasn't so bad after all
I've expected myself to have failed HCIG, but after months of waiting for a re-sit notification; I realized I could've just check the online web results. Turns out I passed...
Well, and to think that I went all depressed while doing HCIG because I thought I would have failed EDS for sure, but I didn't.
The chain reaction continues, I thought I'd have failed HCIG so I went all depressed for RMP... but I didn't fail HCIG as well...
There's still this RMP and Literature Review to pass as well, life is depressing.

I need a Dissertation Research Topic
Problem is, I can't find a proper topic which can get me interested enough, and at the same time qualify the interest of the almighty lecturers of APIIT. Well, it could've been easier if I didn't take IT Management, where my topic is limited to only 60% IT, and 40% Management issues.
If I had taken Software Engineering instead, I could've gone with a development of some crappy system and pass with both my hands tied behind my back. Sometimes they (college) confuse me. First they said Software Engineering is not available for Part-Timers, 6 months later they open this course for foreigners.
This is actually my 2nd chance as my first choice was rejected upon literature review.
But of course I can take the 2nd option which is to buy a fully referenced Dissertation papers online from some UK writer, but that'll cost around 10K in RM... so I guess I'll just pass that.
Maybe the 3rd option would be much better. I could just give up now and settle for a postgraduate diploma :D

It's a Good Start
1. A new job
2. A new hobby
3. A new domain name
Not all things are well though, I wish I can finish my Master's soon. If I can make up my mind whether to finish it or not.
Well, no point giving myself too much pressure. It's still just a paper and wasted 30K anyway.
I guess we'll see.
